The high viscosity of battery slurry made it difficult to fully discharge the material from the filters during replacements, leading to wasted raw materials. Given the high cost of battery slurry, this inefficiency posed a considerable financial burden. Developing a specialized, recyclable filter cartridge for lithium battery slurry presented a clear opportunity to reduce waste and optimize costs.
After a careful on-site evaluation and multiple consultations with the client’s technical team, we developed a customized battery slurry filter cartridge. This filtration solution improves upon the traditional single-core capsule design, using high-quality polyethylene for the upper and lower housings, joined by a hygienic-grade soft membrane. The filter is equipped with EPDM sealing rings and polypropylene end caps, ensuring compatibility with the chemically demanding slurry. The filtration process is enhanced through a multi-layer, gradient structure that captures particles of varying sizes in stages. This filter design not only increases dirt-holding capacity and filtration area but also reduces operational resistance, extending the filter’s lifespan and lowering costs.
One of the main features is the filter cartridge’s efficient slurry recovery system. By incorporating venting ports and a soft membrane that can be easily opened, the design allows for quick and thorough slurry retrieval without the need for extensive cleaning. Using data gathered in collaboration with the client, we used advanced design software to enhance the battery slurry filter cartridge. By simulating real-world conditions, we developed and tested key design parameters, including pressure limits, operating temperatures, and flow rates. This approach ensured that the cartridge would meet the rigorous demands of battery slurry filtration.
After producing sample cartridges, our production team conducted detailed inspections to evaluate both appearance and performance. These included multiple rounds of comparative testing to confirm the cartridge’s ability to handle high-viscosity slurries effectively.
